Honey Badger was proud to be a sponsor of Mwanza Charity Ball.

This month thought we would get involved in something a little different. We,  Joseph and Jenny used to live in Mwanza and through Saidia Tanzania Organisation (www.saidiavolunteer.org) they supported various local charities in Mwanza (check out the website for more information).  Even though we are no-longer in Mwanza we are committed to continuing their support for local community initiatives.  We saw the charity ball as a great opportunity to continue this support whilst also raising awareness of Honey Badger Lodge and Safaris.  Honey Badger lodge and safaris gave the ball a voucher to climb Mount Meru.  The climb is for two people and includes 2 nights accommodation at Honey Badger Lodge.  The prize was auctioned off and along with many other generous donations helped the ball committee to raise 62,000,000/= (around $45,000).  This money will go to support various local charities, some of whom were previously supported by SAIDIA (the link continues!).  Fiona and Rob won the prize and we look forward to hosting them soon.

As our renovations are coming to completion marketing the lodge and tours is our first priority.  We need to spread the word.  After all the more clients we receive the more we can ‘give back’ to our local community.  Please check out our ‘giving back’ initiative for more information.
