The end of an era - no more camping from 2013
Since taking over in 2010 we have been busy renovating rooms, building our swimming pool, bar and restaurant area and developing our tour company. We have been careful to listen to the reviews and feedback from our guests. It seems people are enjoying what we are doing and want to see more of the same. With this in mind we will be adding five new rooms in 2012/3, however to do this we will have to close down our campsite. Therefore from January 1st 2013 we will no-longer offer camping at Honey Badger Lodge.
We have enjoyed playing host to the hundreds, if not thousands of campers that have passed through Honey Badger since Mama Lucy first opened our doors in 1999. However owing to increased running costs and a need for the space we can no longer offer camping at the cheap rates that campers demand. We also feel it is time to focus on our main revenue stream.
We continue to very much welcome you to come and use our rooms, we currently have 14 large en-suite rooms of which nine can be triples or twins, three can be quadruples and four are doubles/singles. And as we mentioned we will be adding another five rooms over the next 12 months, taking us up to 19 rooms (with plans for further expansion in 2013/4). We are reasonably priced and feel we can still be a great option for travellers on all different budgets and backgrounds. Please contact us for our room rates as well as for our safari, mountain climb and local activity rates.
We continue to warmly welcome you to Honey Badger and thank you all for your support...
Watch this space for more inforamtion about our 2012 achievements and community contributions and 2013 plans...as we will be posting our 2012 review very soon...
